We are incredibly fortunate to have so many volunteers supporting the events and activities in our great community.
The PTA would like to thank Kristen Zecchi and Mike Raiter for organizing the Box Tops for Education collection!

Breda and Jim Zimkus are the volunteers behind the UNICEF campaign - we thank you for your continued support, encouraging our children to help other children around the world!

Two of my favourite things at Burbank are the butterfly and vegetable gardens: I love working with Kim Foster and Megan Palmer, our Garden Committee members. Thank you for your time and commitment in creating awesome garden activities.

During the month of October, Burbank students had the opportunity to learn about our gardens. This outdoor education could not be possible without the fantastic parent volunteers. WE THANK YOU:
Laura Conover, Mike Cummings, Cynthia DeCambre, Taylor Fleming, Philip Jones, Karla Saidnawey, Bonne Thompson, Maya Tremiszewska, Hillary Wyon, Kristen Zecchi, Julie Waters, Lindsay Doherty, Matt Makarewicz, Julia Jackson, Sissi Liu, Taylor Nielsen, Chiara Conti, Christine Burke, John Green, Jyl Slopnick, Mark Saidnawey, Cathy Meyer, Sue Rodriguez, Wenhong Liu, Raj Alagiriswammy, Martin Guentert, Heather Rubeski, Jessie Bennett, Florence Wang, Jeff Sinsay, Malynda Roberto, Jenny Kresse, Kadir Ozkan, and Jess Smith!
In memory of Rebecca Lavoie Deane, a framed print of Norman Rockwell's "The Golden Rule - Do Unto Others", hangs in the Burbank library. She was a special Burbank parent, volunteer and friend; this print speaks volumes of Rebecca's personality.

Rebecca loved books and was most often helping out in the library. Growing up near the Norman Rockwell Museum, her mother Linda Lavoie, felt that one of his prints would be most appropriate to honor her memory.

The print, as well as 35 books, were donated to the library by Rebecca's mother, from a collection of funds that were raised by Linda Lavoie's friends in Western Massachusetts.
All are welcome to come and view it.

Come and hear two Burbank teachers ('s a surprise)
read aloud their favorite bedtime stories!
Kids can wear pajamas (not required) and bring their favorite stuffed animal.

All Burbank families are welcome.
Yummy cookies will be provided.

THANK YOU to all the families that have already supported the campaign.

Belmont Youth Wellness Forum

When:    Monday, November 18, 2019

Where:    Chenery Middle School Community Room

Time:       7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Last Spring, many Belmont students participated in a voluntary survey: Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS).  They were asked questions about their stress levels, about substance use (e.g., alcohol, marijuana, Vaping), mental health, suicide ideation, and much more.

At this forum, the School Department, along with the Belmont Wellness Coalition, will share important data highlights from the survey.

We will answer your questions about what the data highlights reveal and we will work together to explore ways to best support the youth of Belmont.

Please join us!  Light refreshments will be served.
