The Burbank Parent Teacher Association
The Burbank PTA is comprised of parents, teachers, and Burbank’s school principal, all working together to enhance our children’s educational, social, and emotional development at Burbank.
The PTA hosts a wide range of activities throughout the school year including the Book Fair, the Fall Social, Reading Night, Field Day, STEM Week, Skating Night, the Multicultural Fair, the Geography Challenge, as well as many classroom enrichment programs in the school.
We invite new and returning Burbank families to attend our bi-monthly PTA meetings to learn more about the good works of the PTA and the educational and fun events that the PTA proudly sponsors. We encourage all families to contribute and get involved as together we foster a strong Burbank school community.

25th ANNUAL GEOGRAPHY CHALLENGE
Registration has closed, and the Study Guides can now be downloaded - make sure you pick the right level for your child!
This year’s Challenge will be held in the Burbank cafeteria as follows:
- Thursday March 19th, 9-11:30am, Grades K-2 (grades participate one at a time)
- Friday March 20th, 9-10:30am, Grades 3-4 (combined participation)
The Geography Challenge is a non-competitive display of students’ knowledge. As in past years, students form teams of 3 or 4 members and answer questions found in the Dr. Feinberg Geography Challenge Study Books, which will be distributed before the event. Students who participate will have the opportunity to learn basic geography facts and terms. Participation in the Geography Challenge tends to be high, with about two-thirds of all Burbank students electing to take part. The Geography Challenge is unique to Burbank - we are the only elementary school in Belmont that hosts this fun, educational activity. All students attend the Geography Challenge regardless of whether they are on a team, and parents and family are welcome to attend.
For questions, view these FAQs or contact one of the Geography Committee Co-Chairs.

GET YOUR WALK-IT TICKET!
To encourage walking and biking to school, the Burbank Walks PTA committee is excited to offer a “Walk-it Ticket” to every student interested in participating.
Walking to school has many benefits: children enjoy the fresh air, they meet other friends heading to school, and arrive ready to learn. It also strengthens our community and is really good for the environment too!
Your child can clip their Walk-it Ticket to their backpack and keep recording walking trips to or from school through Wednesday December 4th . When they turn in their Walk-it Ticket , they will see their name and total number of walks displayed on the Burbank Walks Hall of Fame.
To register your child, please click on the following link to fill out the registration form, no later than Wednesday, October 2nd https://tinyurl.com/y3278ele

Without the generosity of Burbank families, none of the PTA’s work would be possible. The funds raised and spent by the PTA have a significant impact on your child’s daily school experience. Every bit helps, so please join us and give what you can.
