As a community we have a shared responsibility to keep students safe. Recent evaluation of Burbank’s routes to school shows the greatest danger to children is traffic congestion around the entrances to school. To help alleviate trouble spots, new parking and traffic regulations on Sharpe Rd have been put in place, effective September 2017. Please follow the procedures outlined here
to help all students get to and from school safely, and please share this important information with all caregivers.
Share your time and talents to enhance the Burbank community. The PTA is building the slate of committee and event chairs for the 2017-2018 school year. Please look over the attached list
or view the online form
and consider how you might like to get involved. Expressing interest now does not commit you - if you let us know you are interested, we will give you more information. You can decide whether to take it on once you know what the commitment entails.
The PTA is a completely volunteer run organization, and the positive impact felt by students, teachers, and our community is immeasurable. Thank you for giving of your time and talents!
The Burbank Parent Teacher Association
The Burbank PTA is comprised of parents, teachers, and Burbank’s school principal, all working together to enhance our children’s educational, social, and emotional development at Burbank.
The PTA hosts a wide range of activities throughout the school year including the Book Fair, the Fall Social, Reading Night, Field Day, STEM Week, Skating Night, the Multicultural Fair, the Geography Challenge, as well as many classroom enrichment programs in the school.
We invite new and returning Burbank families to attend our bi-monthly PTA meetings to learn more about the good works of the PTA and the educational and fun events that the PTA proudly sponsors. We encourage all families to contribute and get involved as together we foster a strong Burbank school community.

Volunteer! Join a committee or help at a PTA sponsored event
The Burbank Parent Teacher Association has two goals in mind when we plan events and activities. The first is to enrich the lives of Burbank students. The second goal is to help all families feel welcome, to feel connected to the school and to each other. Volunteering at school events helps parents build ties to other families and builds strong communities, while at the same time reinforcing the message to their children that school is valuable and important.
Throughout the school year, there are many ways for parents to volunteer at PTA-sponsored events, and volunteer opportunities are available for all levels of time commitment; during the school day or on evenings or weekends; and whether you want to take charge of organizing or just be handed a job to do.
