We Strive for Love of Learning, Respect and Well Being
Learn Think Create Serve
Dear Burbank Families,
Last night we had the annual PTA Library Night. When I took a minute to try to quickly count how many students were in attendance, I counted close to 100 students all waiting to hear a story from each of the four “readers”, which included myself, Kaitlyn Talbot, Diana Weinstein, and Robin Hines. Library Night, is always a nice way to get our community together-it’s nice to see students wearing their pajamas and snuggling a special stuffed animal. Thanks to the PTA for running such a fun and enjoyable evening!
Parent/teacher conferences have ended-but always, if you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher at any time during the year.
The third graders enjoyed a fun filled day yesterday at Plymouth Plantation-thanks to all of the parent volunteers, your help makes these field trips possible!
Lastly, please enjoy time next week with family and friends during our Thanksgiving break. Students will be dismissed at 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21st.

Lost & Found Reminder
Due to the large volume of items in the lost and found and the fact that we don’t have the space to accommodate all of these items, the lost and found box is emptied at the beginning of every month. Please make sure to check the lost and found as soon as you notice something is missing.
Attention Parents of 4th Grade Students
An updated physical exam is required by Massachusetts law for 4th grade students. Please send in to the clinic a copy of your child’s annual physical that has been completed within the past 12 months.
Please contact me with any questions.

ANNUAL APPEAL: HELP US CROSS THE FINISH LINE BY THANKSGIVING
Please help the PTA meet its goal for the Annual Appeal. We have reached 84% of our goal, with contributions from 140 families and several teachers! Thank you to those who have already contributed! Donate online at https://burbank-pta.org/donate, or by sending a check in your child’s school folder. Contribute what you are comfortable in giving, and if a guideline is needed, we suggest $125 PER CURRENT BURBANK CHILD. Also, check with your employer if they have a matching program for employee contributions. Past partnerships between the Burbank PTA and the Burbank school include teacher grants, SMART boards, grade-level enrichment activities, “Mathbrary” for Grade 2, Colonial Day for Grade 3, Kindergarten field trips, and many more.
