Learn Think Create Serve
Dear Burbank Families,
Tonight is a special night at Burbank, as we host, “Burbanks Got Talent”! The students are very excited about the talent show -I’ve been watching their rehearsals, and today I’ve had several conversations with students about their anticipated performances. I’m looking forward to seeing a great show! I know that everyone, both students and parents have devoted a lot of time and effort to this extravaganza, and I know we all appreciate their efforts! Tonight, the show will begin at 6:00 p.m., in the gym.
We continue to participate in MCAS testing, and I want to thank all of the families for ensuring that students have breakfast and are well rested-I can tell that students are ready to do their very best.
Have a great weekend!

Belmont is Raining Poetry - Submit a Poem!
Belmont elementary school students are invited to submit a poem to Belmont Raining Poetry, a new project celebrating art and safe routes to schools. Five poems will be selected to be temporarily installed on sidewalks using Mass Poetry’s unique formula which is only visible in the rain. Our puddle-tastic spring theme is inspired by e. e. Cummings poem “In Just-“ – a testimony to childhood and springtime - and by poet-judge, Matthew J. Burgess, author of Enormous Smallness: A Story of E. E. Cummings.
Submit By: Fri., April 14th by 3:00 p.m.
Entry Form: www.BelmontRainingPoetry.com
**Need inspiration? Find Matthew’s lesson guide on our site!**
Winning poems will be announced in late April!
This project is supported by a grant from the Belmont Cultural Council, a local agency which is
