10. Juneau is the capital.
9. Mt. McKinley is the tallest mountain in North America.
8.  It’s famous for its animals, like the bald eagle and salmon.
7Valdez had a terrible oil spill.
6.  There are many totem poles that tell stories.
5.  The pipeline is about 800 miles long, from Prudhoe Bay to  Valdez.
4.  It’s the biggest of the fifty states (twice the size of Texas).
3.  You can see the Northern lights at certain times.
2.  Gold was discovered in Alaska in the late 1800’s.
