Last Snowflake Day!
Today, Friday, is the last day for snowflake sales. We will sell until 2:25. The snowflakes will be delivered in classes the week before the winter vacation. Snowflakes are $1 each; add a candy cane for another 50 cents. All of the money goes to fill holiday wishes from our three adopted families, struggling with life-threatening illness.
Toys 4 Joys
Make the holiday brighter for Massachusetts children! Please bring in new, unwrapped toys for any age from 3 months to 18 years. and drop off in the BIG box in the main office. New hats, scarves, and gloves or mittens are also needed for teens. We can accept toys until Monday December 18.
Community Service Opportunities
1. Snow is in tomorrow's forecast, and next week, too. Can you shovel for senior citizens this winter? We are still needing more volunteers. The Council on Aging will match you with someone roughly in your neighborhood. Please sign up with Ms. Melnikoff.

3.. Sunday, Dec. 10, AM. Help on Boston Common for the Jingle Bell 5k Walk/Run for the Arthritis Foundation. This is the one walk where people often wear holiday-themed costumes. Registration starts at 7:30AM. Interested? 4. We have very few male BHS students on our resource list of tutors and mentors. If you are willing to be on the list for Chenery, elementary, and/or BHS students, please sign up with Ms. Melnikoff.

Students are reminded that all vehicles parked in the school parking lot are required to have a parking permit. Parking permits are issued through the main office. In addition, students may only park in the designated student parking area marked by the white lines. Students may not park in the teacher lot marked by the yellow lines. Students parking in the teacher lot will be subject to consequences.
SENIOR OPEN CAMPUS AND PARKING PERMIT APPLICATIONS
Senior open campus and parking permit application are available for eligible students. Stop by the main office between the hours of 10 am and 1 pm for application(s).
LOST & FOUND
All items in Lost & Found will be donated to charity on January 12, 2018. If you think you have lost something check the Lost & Found.
Students and Staff should be reminded to LOCK their bikes on the bike racks. We have observed numerous bikes not locked.
There have been many reports of student cutting thru resident’s back yards and crossing the railroad tracks to get to the High School. This is considered trespassing and the Belmont Police and MBTA police will be patrolling the area and if caught trespassing laws may be enforced.
Crossing the Commuter Rail tracks is not only highly dangerous but is also considered trespassing. Trespassers are subject to substantial fines and arrest by MBTA Police and Belmont Police.
New to the school in common areas are recycling barrels for beverages. Screw all caps back on before recycling. Blue bins are for paper and Green bins are for plastic, aluminum or glass.
Students are encouraged to lock the lock on their lockers. If you are having trouble with your lock/locker please see Mrs. Ouellette in the main office.
