Dan Richards

Principal Daniel Richards, a NASSP/ Virco National Assistant Principal of the Year finalist, and Massachusetts Assistant Principal of the Year, has been a teacher in the Newton Public School District (Newton, MA), and was an assistant principal and currently the principal of Belmont High School in the Belmont Public School District (Belmont, MA). As a school leader, he has successfully created and implemented professional development focused around 21st century learning and coordinated school and district-wide programs which recognize and celebrates the diversity of all faculty, staff and students.

Announcements April 28, 2017

Junior/Senior Prom The Junior/Senior Prom will take place May 19th at the Boston Marriott Newton. Prom contracts are available in the main office and outside room 216. Tickets are $110 and will go on sale April 10 to April 28th. Tickets purchased after the 28th will be $150.00. You must have a signed contract and no obligations in order to purchase a ticket. PE independent study "Any current BHS junior planning to do a Physical Education Independent Study for the next school year (2017-2018) will need to turn in their independent study form to the Athletic Department by May 1, 2017. PLEASE NOTE: THIS DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM THE PREVIOUS DATE OF JUNE 1, 2017. The change in the due date is needed in order to allocate appropriate staffing. Any current BHS junior who does not turn in a Physical Education independent study form, or inform their guidance counselor they are playing on a BHS Interscholastic Athletic Team by May 1st, will remain scheduled for the Physical Education courses they elected during the scheduling process. Students will NOT be able to drop Physical Education courses from their schedule in the Fall of 2017. Please see your guidance counselor if you have any questions.
