Marauder Football 2016

Strength and Conditioning

The Marauder Strength & Conditioning program will run on M, Tu, Th, & Fri from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. until the end of the school year. During the summer, two sessions will be run, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, in order to accommodate work schedules for students who have summer jobs. These times will be announced in the near future. Regular attendance is encouraged of all Marauder Football players.

Forms & Fees

Please ensure that all forms are filled out, physicals are current, and the BHS participation fee is paid prior to August 18th. You can reach the Belmont Football staff with any questions at belmontmarauderfootball@gmail.com

Freshmen Football

Thursday, August 18th - Report to WENNER Field House by 9:00 am. Necessary contact information will be collected. Equipment will be distributed. Paperwork will be collected. Orientation for camp will take place.

Friday, August 19th at 8:00 a.m. - report to BHS Field House (paperwork & equipment). Practice will be from 9:00 am – 11:00 am from Friday, August 19 to Saturday, August 27. Additional dates and times to follow. There is NO PRACTICE on Sunday, August 21.

Varsity/JV Football

Thursday, August 18th - Report to WENNER Field House by 9:00 am. Necessary contact information will be collected. Equipment will be distributed. Paperwork will be collected. Orientation for camp will take place. Strength & Conditioning tests will be administered. Dismissal will be at 12:00

August 19th - Report to White Field House by 7:30 A.M. Any outstanding paperwork will be collected.

August 19th , 20th, 22 - Non-contact days. Players should report to field house by 8:00 a.m. (except for the 19th when report is at 7:30). Practice will run from 9-11:00. Players should bring a lunch. After lunch, players will attend meetings, classroom sessions, injury prevention seminars, followed by team-building activities. Dismissal will be at 3:30.

August 23rd & 24th - “Limited Contact” Days. Players should report to field house by 8:00 a.m. First practice will run from 9-11:30. Players must bring a lunch Lunch will run from 11:30 – 12:30. After lunch, players will attend meetings, classroom sessions, injury prevention seminars, followed by team-building activities. Dismissal will be at 4:00.

August 25th & 26th - “Full Contact” Days. Players should report to field house by 8:00 a.m. Practice will run from 9 – 11:30. Players must bring a lunch. Lunch will run from 11:30 – 1:00 pm. After lunch players will participate in a “walkthrough practice” from   1:15 – 2:15. Following this players will attend After lunch, players will attend meetings, classroom sessions, injury prevention seminars, followed by team-building activities. Dismissal will be at 6:00.

August 27th - Varsity/JV scrimmage HOME vs. Malden Catholic HS. - 10:00 A.M. Followed by FOBF Belmont Football Kickoff BBQ

August 28th OFF DAY.

August 29th – Sept 2-  Single practice sessions – School year schedule – report at 2:30. Practice runs from 3 – 5:30. Dismissal between 6-7 pm (varies due to post practice activities

August 30 - Scrimmage (AWAY) vs. Waltham High @ 10:00 a.m.
