Dan Richards

Principal Daniel Richards, a NASSP/ Virco National Assistant Principal of the Year finalist, and Massachusetts Assistant Principal of the Year, has been a teacher in the Newton Public School District (Newton, MA), and was an assistant principal and currently the principal of Belmont High School in the Belmont Public School District (Belmont, MA). As a school leader, he has successfully created and implemented professional development focused around 21st century learning and coordinated school and district-wide programs which recognize and celebrates the diversity of all faculty, staff and students.

Announcements - October 27, 2014

Teen Mystery/Thriller Author Talk at the Belmont Public Library
Diana Renn, Erin Dionne, Kim Harrington, and Laurie Faria Stolarz discuss the craft of writing mysteries and thrillers for young adults at the Belmont Public Library Assembly Room on Saturday November 1st from 2:00-3:00pm. They'll discuss how to generate ideas, the art of plot development, creating characters, and any other questions the audience may have. Refreshments and goodies are free while they last. Books available for purchase and signing.


Breast Cancer Awareness Sales

Sales of our new student-designed t-shirts will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, October 7 during lunch mods outside the cafe. T-shirts are $10. We are also selling pink hearts to sign and put on the courtyard window with a pink ribbon to wear for $1, wristbands for $2, and breast cancer mints--2 for 50 cents and 5 for $1.

Hot Pink Finale (aka Teachers with Pink Hair!)

VOTE IN HOT PINK FINALE!  GREAT FUN FOR A GREAT CAUSE!  Which teachers will sport pink hair to school on Halloween?  You get to vote with your wallets!  Jugs for each department will be outside the café most lunch mods through next Monday, the 27th.  The participating teachers are listed on each jug. Put your money in the jugs.  The participants in the department receiving the most money will have pink hair on the 31st.  All of the money goes to the American Cancer Society through the BHS Making Strides Against Breast Cancer team.
