Sixty-six BHS Students Accepted to MMEA 2015 Senior District Festival

This is the highest number of accepted students from BHS in recent memory. Thirty-two of these students achieved audition scores high enough to earn an All-State recommendation, which gives them the opportunity to audition for the state-wide festival later this winter.

Dan Richards

Principal Daniel Richards, a NASSP/ Virco National Assistant Principal of the Year finalist, and Massachusetts Assistant Principal of the Year, has been a teacher in the Newton Public School District (Newton, MA), and was an assistant principal and currently the principal of Belmont High School in the Belmont Public School District (Belmont, MA). As a school leader, he has successfully created and implemented professional development focused around 21st century learning and coordinated school and district-wide programs which recognize and celebrates the diversity of all faculty, staff and students.

Friday 1/23:   “Attention female athletes: Any girls interested in playing rugby this spring are invited to an informational meeting next Tuesday, January 27th.  The meeting is to outline what the spring season would look like for any girls that wish to play rugby and introduce you to the school’s first female rugby coach who will be joining the program this spring.  The meeting will take place at 245pm in the Little Theatre next Tuesday.”  Seniors,It’s scholarship time!  As some of you may be aware, there is a number of scholarships available to apply for on Naviance.  The Belmont High School
