STAFF VACCINATION PROTOCOL

Understanding that vaccinations are a critical health and safety precaution against COVID-19, the Belmont Public School District, in conjunction with the Belmont Education Association, will require all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Please see our COVID-19 vaccination protocol for staff here.

VOLUNTEER VACCINATION PROTOCOL

Belmont Public Schools are currently implementing vaccine mandates for all educators and staff. We are continuing to prioritize ensuring high vaccination rates amongst all adults who work in our schools. The Belmont Public Schools encourages all families, students, staff, and school community members who are eligible to get vaccinated. As presented at the Belmont School Committee meeting on September 21, 2021, anyone – including parents and family members who wish to volunteer in our school buildings during the 2021-2022 school year – will need to show proof of vaccination. Volunteers can provide a photocopy (or email a photo) to the school administrative assistant when checking in at the school’s main office for the first time this year. Alternatively, individuals who plan to volunteer in any of the district schools can email a PDF or photo of their vaccination card directly to Human Resources (rleeb@belmontschools.net) in advance of their first volunteer date. All vaccination card copies will be kept securely under lock and key, and individual vaccination status will be handled confidentially by the school and central administration staff. The district’s full volunteer vaccination protocol may be found here.
