POMS (Parents of Music Students) is pleased to announce the following extraordinary news: Two anonymous benefactors have stepped forward to make significant donations that will enable POMS to replace the two failing concert pianos in the auditorium at Belmont High School.
To accumulate funds to complete the piano purchases, POMS is launching an 88 Keys Campaign. 88 Keys is an exciting new fundraiser that invites Belmont individuals, families, and organizations to participate in this important acquisition by buying a “key” (black or white) or a musical “interval” as detailed on the 88 Keys Campaign website.
Funds raised through the sale of “keys” and “intervals” will be added to the benefactor gifts to fund the purchase of two concert-grand pianos for the high school auditorium: a Yamaha and a Steinway, both in hi-gloss, tuxedo black.
The campaign will run until June 23, 2017. At the completion of the campaign, all who have purchased keys and intervals will have their names added to permanent nameplate to be installed in the BHS auditorium.
