Belmont named Best Community for Music Education

This week we learned that Belmont has once again been named one of the Best Communities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation (National Association of Music Merchants). Communities are selected for this honor based on the level of comprehensive music education offered to students at all grade levels, the willingness of the school district devote instructional time and resources to music education, and the community’s commitment to providing their children with a well-rounded educational experience in our schools.

Belmont Announces Smart911 Service for Enhanced Emergency Response

Smart911 is a national service that allows citizens to create a free Safety Profile for their household that includes any information they want 9-1-1 and first responders to have in the event of an emergency.

One Hundred Days of School and Counting

3/2/2015
Belmont reached 100 days of school on February 23, and schools recognized the day with various activities. Winn Brook set a goal of collecting 100 food or toiletry items per class by this date, benefiting the Belmont Food Pantry. Parent volunteers helped transport the donations to the Pantry. The students counted their donations and made graphs illustrating the number of items in various categories.
