Professional Status Recognition

Thirty-two Belmont Public School educators who achieved Professional Status were recognized at a reception held before the School Committee meeting on October 9. Educators achieve Professional Status after successfully completing three years of employment with Belmont Public Schools.

Performing at the occasion was a quartet of Belmont High School musicians; Lara Zeng and Isabelle Kim, violins, Alex Wilk, viola, Annalise Schlaug, cello.

Following the reception, Belmont Superintendent John Phelan, School Committee Chair Susan Burgess – Cox, and Human Resources Director Mary Pederson greeted the recipients, and gave them each a certificate and a small gift.
