- Wed Aug 22th at 2:00 report to BHS Field House(paperwork and equipment).
- Practice will be from 3:00pm- 5:30pm. Practice on Thur. and Friday will be from 3:00pm - 5:30pm with additional dates to follow
Varsity & JV
The weight room will be open three days a week (MWTH) from 7:00 A.M. to 8:30 A.M. all summer beginning June 18th. Closed July 4,5. Please have all forms filled out, physicals updated and BHS participation fee paid by the August 1st, or you will not be allowed to start with the team. Report to field house by 9:00 A.M. Any outstanding paperwork will be collected. Equipment will be issued.
- August 20th , 21st , 22nd.
Non-contact or conditioning days. Players should report to the locker room at 4:00 for meeting and practice.
- August 23 rd , 24th and 27th.
Double Sessions: 8:00AM –12:00 PM and 3:00 – 5:30PM. There will be meetings at both sessions. Players must bring a lunch – NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO LEAVE.
- August 25th.
Varsity scrimmage Away vs.. Waltham High @ 10:00 A.M .
- August 26th OFF.
- August 29th 3:30- 5:30 Single practice, after practice the Football Family Picnic at Harris Field – 6:30 – All families are invited
- August 28th.
Scrimmage vs. Medfield Home @ 6:00.
- September 1st Saturday.
Game scrimmage Vs. Saugus Away @ 11:00 A.M.
- September 2nd Off.
- September 3rd.
(Labor DAY Regular Practice 2-4:30). Melrose Week.
For ALL players
- Athletic participation fee must be paid in order to try
out, fee is due by August 15th. Application
is available here.
- All candidates must have on file in the BHS Athletic office for the current 2012-13 school year a parent permission form, MIAA Chemical Health form and BHS concussion education form & seasonal concussion history form.
- All candidates must have on file in the BHS Nurses office proof of a current physical within the last 13 months in order to try out.
- Preseason tryouts and practices will be physically demanding. It is in your best interest to show up in shape and ready to play to the best of your ability.
